Traditional seaside activities include a sand-castle competition, town crier competition, gillying on the Wells-next-sea quay and the crowning of the Carnival Royals. In addition you will find stalls selling everything from local delicacies to exotic street food. Carnival day & Parade Saturday will take place on August 10th.

Craig Richard’s Houghton Festival is a fest of dance and electronic music. With its unique 24-hour licence, meaning the music never stops at Houghton, emphasis is placed on the spontaneous back-to-backs and longer-than-usual sets.

The Potty Festival is the place to be for Morris dancing and folk music in Sheringham, North Norfolk. It takes place in early July every year, and has been attracting large numbers of dancers, musicians, residents and tourists since it was established in 1993. Named after Sheringham’s ‘Lobster Potties’ Morris side, the festival has taken place in the town for the past 30 years. The event will see almost 40 sides dancing through the town, each showcasing various Morris forms.

The Royal Norfolk show is the largest two day agricultural show in the country and will take place at The Norfolk Showground. Set in a pretty woodland clearing in Kings Lynn, Folk in a Field brings together a diverse mix of folk at an award-winning family-friendly festival

Norwich Bubble Rush will take place at The Norfolk Showground, it is a fun run up to 5k that you can walk, jog or run! It is not about speed or winning, it’s about having fun and enjoying the bubbles! Participants run or walk the course which has four Bubble Stations each with a different coloured foam. The route will be 2 laps so you get double the bubbles– you can choose to complete the route once if you have little ones or by going around twice and completing the full 5K.

Carrow Road will host Take That this summer as the iconic UK band visit Norwich on with ‘This Life On Tour’. The tour will see the trio, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald sing their hearts out for the people of Norwich. They will be joined on the tour by very special guest Olly Murs. Take That (formed in 1990) and is the most successful English boy band in UK chart history, specialising in their own style of pop balladry, the band hails from Manchester, England.

The Crab and Lobster Festival brings the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham together to celebrate the world-famous seafood caught in the seas off both coastal resorts. This seafood spectacular includes concerts, cookery theatre, art and seafood trails with over 35 local eateries taking part. There’s also a street market packed with local produce, live music during the day and at night, street performers, heritage and seafaring crafts, and children’s activities, and the World Crabbing Competition on Cromer Pier, in which any keen Cromer crabbers can participate!

Join us for our first craft night with REEF! Come and enjoy the process, lose yourself for a couple of hours in some fun making with friends and meet some new people too. All events will begin with a couple of short warm up collage activities to get you in the zone and highlight a few tips and techniques. After this you will be let loose on the huge array of best quality magazines, papers and other fabulous materials that you can use however you like to create your composition. Each event will be based around a different theme and you will be told the theme at the event. Tickets are £20, Food is optional and can be ordered on the night, two courses £22 and three courses £32 and will include an elderflower squash with sparkling water.
